Jonathan Zepp
A native of Maryland, Jonathan Zepp is the Potomac Winds collective's bassoonist, a frequent performer with the Ars Nova Chamber Orchestra, and an active freelance bassoonist in the Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia, and Pennsylvania areas. He holds an Artist's Certificate from the University of Missouri - Kansas City Conservatory, a Master's degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland at College Park, studying under Marita Abner, Kristin Wolfe Jensen, Sue Heineman, and MaryLee Young. Jonathan has performed across North America and some of Eastern Europe collaborating with a variety of world-class performers and ensembles. In addition to performing, Jonathan teaches a private studio of students aged from middle school through adults.
In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys a wide range of hobbies including building and programming electronics, computer and board gaming, assembling and painting miniatures, keeping saltwater reef aquariums, and many others. He holds a NAUI dive certification and a Ham radio license under the callsign W3BSN. Beginning in 2020, Jonathan has started live streaming practicing and other projects on Twitch.
